The future is narrow body aircraft. In a perfect world, we have ULH flights being operated by A320/A321 sized airplanes running as frequent as route planners desire, upgauging if demand is too much and physical space constraints.

Its telling how little ANA wants the A380s in that they're relegated to the beach route to Hawaii. At least they'll see good use there with decent LFs and a decent amount of high end tourism to the islands filling the premium cabin.

I still question the decision to split their widebody fleet between 2 completely different types. Boeing must have really discounted and pushed the 787 hard. The A330-800 would have been a great fit, or even the -900 if HA was so concerned about dealing with an unwanted type.

PR117 seems to be setting up for a diversion to HND. FR24 says the 4 flights from SFO/LAX are diverting to CEB. 119/127 are still who knows. CI5880 seems to still be cruising along to MNL.

PIT is one that comes to mind. Used to be a hub but the traffic that goes through it is pretty small for the size of the facilities.

ONT in Southern California an argument can be made for in terms of PAX (cargo is very much healthy). But it’s improving after being divested by LAWA.
