all Boeing has to say is that the criteria was biased to the A330 and so the competition wasn't really a competition. The US<acronym title="Air France">AF</acronym> would have to prove that all criteria they used was non-biased and a true need of the warfighter... none of this is as straight forward...

787 has 4 - 90 Kva hookups, 2 forward near the nose like most jets and 2 aft of the wheel wheel. Need 2 to start, 4 to run full systems without engines or APU on the ground.

APU has 2 - 250 Kva gens and 2 - 250 generators on each engine. All freq wild IIRC.

Boeing tends to refine the designs more. AirBus drives costs down by similarity and reuse of parts and common extrusions. Boeing will trim off corners, shot peen parts and have multiple parts for similar usages to allow refinement of the design. One is not better than the other, it just a difference...
