Something's gotta give though especially if AA is looking to expand PHL further when the XLR comes online. XLR's should be able to depart from B and C. But I agree the 6-7pm departure bank is pretty much full. The late 8:30-10:30 bank likely depends on a corresponding domestic bank. I do not know h...Jump to post
During my few times looking at PHL-MCO / MLB flights, MLB was much higher compared to MCO that the extra ~1hr drive to MCO from where I was visiting wasn't an issue. I'm talking $200+ difference.Jump to post
I could see ZIPAIR expanding to LAS and MCO on a non-daily basis in the future. JAL could launch SJC in the next 1-2 years, but with 7 daily nonstops between the Bay Area and Tokyo come next summer, I believe it may end up replacing the recently announced SFO-NRT. AA would be better off flying PHL-...Jump to post

AA plans on up gauging Cancun service to 787 next winter.
FAQ Big cut *AA PHL-SEA APR 3>1.0[1.5] MAY 4>1.0 This may be a 2 month only reduction, relating to aircraft shortage, since it returns to 4 X Daily from June 4. I mean that is a big market to cut from. Though I wonder if AA is doing Oasis on a bunch of LUS A321 at that time Meanwhile AS is at 2x...Jump to post

With these numbers is PHL going to beat last year's numbers? I don't what percentage indicates good growth Yes, at this rate PHL should beat last year's numbers. It is hard to measure "good growth." You probably have to compare against other airports. If other airports are growing at 5-10...Jump to post
I'm sure there will be more changes, but currently PHL only has 1x 788 flight a day for S20. What do you mean? Temporary DFW/LAX/ORD-PHL 788 at the beginning, then PHL-AMS/MAN/ZRH on the 788 before MAN goes 763 in March. Then ZRH will temporarily switch to the A332 for a month then revert to the 78...Jump to post

With the 321xlr coming in the next few years do you guys think they’d be used at B/C terminals for international departures at least because of the size and space or probably just A West and East only as usual? Publicity wise, AA has stemmed the tide for now, but the media will soon turn. There is no indications that AA will start seeing financial results similar to its rivals anytime soon, and so I don’t really see them bouncing back in 2020. If PHL is going to grow its international business it better get a bigger FIS station. In 2018 I arrived there on a British Airways flight and it took three hours to get through customs. Because the cost per pax at CLT is so low, and there's so much room to grow, a lot of new service could work there that won't work at other AA hubs. As you point out, a lot of domestic dots could still be connected from CLT. CLT-Asia isn't going to happen, as AA is using DFW and LAX to grow those m...Jump to post
It’s worth noting that AA further cut PHL in the winter. I haven’t looked for upgauges but it looks like another 10-20 flights down from an already pared down winter schedule (350-375 flts/day)Jump to post

AA PHL-SEA DEC 4>3[1.0] JAN 4>1.0[0.6] FEB 4>1.0[0.8] MAR 4>1.0[1.0] Wow, AA seems to be really struggling in SEA. They cut SEA-JFK entirely just a few weeks back..
