The airport was about another 20min drive from the Jade Pagoda, which itself was almost 45min from the city. That is how far the airport is from the city. Mandalay City is almost 40km away from the airport and it was almost an hour's airport taxi ride into the city. Our accomodation was at Home Hotel, a rather popular 3-stars hotel in the city. What I noticed is that you said they woke up the cabin 2 hours before landing for the breakfast service, what seems way too early for such a small Y cabin. It was a 20min Airport Limousine Bus ride back to the airport from Hakodate JR station. Reached the airport domestic terminal 1.5hrs prior to departure. From Hakodate Airport, it was only a 20min and 410yen airport limousine bus ride to the Hakodate JR station, which is also the main transport hub in the city center. As my next flight is departing from Narita's Terminal 3, it was a 10min walk along the designated footpath from Terminal 2 to the LCC terminal. The LCCs must have been doing a roaring business at Narita as T3 seemed much more busier than T2. Looks like expansion of the current makeshift LCC terminal...

After disembarkation, ground staff were at the end of the jetbridge calling out for transit passengers to Narita.
