Pre Screening: Too Dark?

I just put this into the queue and I just am not sure about it. Weather was not the best for spotting as thunderstorms were rolling in from the West but I still had sunlight behind my camera. I just question if it is too dark. <a href="http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/ready/k1378048313.6817img...

Have you tried filing an appeal on the picture? I personally don't see any noise. The blue cast is on the fuselage and that is reflection of the sky.

For the UPS I personally think it has to do with you being at 190mm (like 285mm on a 35mm) and only shooting at 1/200 or possibly a really bad focus. As Vik said, full size unedited pictures will help a lot. <table border="0" align="CENTER" width="95%" class="quote"><tr><td><font size="2" face="ARIA...

What focus mode were you using. Aviation photography is best done using AF Servo. Think it is the same name on Nikon as Canon for that. Basically you want the camera to be constantly focusing and not just point focusing.

To me the original looks like it has too much contrast. The belly below the wings has just too much contrast (in my opinion). I personally am not so sure about the dark. You make it brighter and end up with an overexposed nose. I would think just lessen the contrast a bit and then see how it looks.
