Future of AA hub at PHX

PHX is AA’s least profitable hub not located in a key intl market (MIA, NYC, and LAX). Also, it is heavily overlapping with DFW and LAX. So taking these factors into consideration, what is the future of AA at PHX?

Why didn’t UA order the 77W until they needed a 744 replacement?

It seems odd that UA, one of the premier 777 customers, never ordered the 77W until over 10 years after it was introduced. It’s combination of range and size would have been helpful for launching new routes.

Why didn’t UA order the A330?

While many of the largest US airlines of the late 90’s/early 2000’s built large A330 fleets (such as US, DL, and NW), UA never ordered a single A330. Why? It seems like it would have been a perfect fit for their IAD/ORD TATL network.

Future of Indigo Airlines

Indigo has been on a roll lately, expanding into Europe via IST and China via CTU. What is next for them? The A321LR unlocks a host of other possibilities, although lying low and waiting for the A321XLR could also be a good move, as that will open up the possibilities of LGW, NRT, and CDG nonstops.
