Looking thru a DL timetable today, I noticed that they cut a lot of flights in and out of SEA...does anybody know the cities and routes they dropped to and from SEA? I know LA is one of them...
Alaska- you just aren't a true airplane lover, thats all...it's ok!
I was at DTW a few days ago on a layover (5 hrs) in the new McNamara terminal....gorgeous terminal by the way...
I noticed that half of the planes, including mine, were backed out of the gate using their reverse thrusters...why is this? It was kinda cool!
SEA nw DC10
I know I know, being an airline employee you'd think I would know the answer to this, however I work outside under the planes, not upstairs where all the security issues are handled...can I bring my hair dryer on the plane in my luggage? I'm leaving in 45 min's so I need a reply asap! <img src...Jump to post
Southwest's new livery seems to be loved or disliked, probably more disliked, but I love it! Delta had a new livery for about 2 years, and then changed it again...looked like they had either negative feedback from the new old livery, or corporate came up with an even better one, being their new new ...Jump to post
We love playing tricks on the "newbies"... A new guy was working a DC10 with me. After the -10 pulled in, I said we need to get an air sample from the engines and then bring it to the captain...so I handed him a huge trash bag, and said hold it behind the engines before they completely stop spinning...Jump to post
Help my airline? If I could, I'd donate my salary to my airline to help it financially. I am helping my airline by doing my job, doing it with a smile, and loving my job. That is how I'm helping my airline. Now, solely basing experiences on one flight, which is what many people on this forum do, mak...Jump to post
Well, from my post about not enjoying NW, I had a lot of good feedback, which I appreciate along with the other NWA employees... I guess what us airline employees have to realize is that there are lots of over-opinionated people out there who fly an airline once, and base that experience on that air...Jump to post
Seems like there's been nothing but threads about how awful NW is in service, seat thickness, fleet, etc... For the one individual who posted a topic about how much he disliked his flight with us between SFO and DTW...how there was no entertainment, a small meal, etc...I guess I have to fill ya in o...Jump to post
Actually, you guys didn't pin the tail on the donkey... Window shades have to be up for take off and landing because it is mandatory that your eyes are adjusted to the inside and outside light together...When flying at night, the lights are extinguished so you aren't subject to bright light...then w...Jump to post
What is your favorite feeling or event during a flight that gives you goose bumps and just makes you love flying even more every time you feel it? For me, I'd have to say slowly turning onto the runway to line up, holding for a few seconds, and then taking off...awesome feeling!! <br><center><a href...Jump to post
I'm really going to go in depth here because in order to know what's going on, you need the details. I've known my best friend for about 2 1/2 years. We both come from opposite families...I'm middle class from a pretty average family. He's from a very wealthy family, who are from another country, ho...Jump to post
Is this "inside-out" TWA still flying in these reverse colors? I have not seen it in years... <br><center><a href="/open.file?id=218635" target="_blank"><font color="#EEEEEE" size="1" face="ARIAL, Helvetica, Geneva">Click for large version<br><IMG SRC="/photos/small/5/3/6/218635.jpg" ALT="Click here...Jump to post
I'm not sure how many of you work for the airlines, but as sombody who's around airplanes on a daily basis, you'd think we would be use to it... I work here at SFO for Northwest, and I tell you, each and every time I walk outside and up to one of our 75's or Airbuses, I'm in awe at the size of airpl...Jump to post
Well, flying home from Seattle today, I was going to go PAST SFO and fly to LAX just so I could get on an AS 737-900. The flight turned out to be full...so they directed me to C11 (for those of you who know SEA, I was at D3 and walked all the way to C11...little trek), anyways, when I arrive at C11,...Jump to post
I know this is a topic brought up before, but with 1000's of new photos every day, favorites change....post your fav's! I'm wondering what SJC was like about 10 years ago. When terminal A opened in 1990, what were the airlines that opened that terminal and where were they in that terminal? What airlines use to serve SJC that don't anymore? Any past info is appreciated...
On the ramp, we tell new rampers, after a terminator aircraft comes to the gate at night, to go get the keys out of the ignition up in the cockpit because we save them for the pilots for the next morning...they go up there for about 15 minutes and have no luck...wonder why? lol <img src="/disc...Jump to post
