Don't Know...

I work at SEA, and I haven't seen a CO777 within 400 miles of here! Very strange...Bellingham is a tiny airport, usually home to QX Dash8's, some Brasilias, maybe a 737 or 2....not sure.

RE: In-Flight Smoking

Smoking shouldn't be allowed on any planes. I think it gives us non-smokers a sence of no escape, we are trapped in a metal tube, now it is filling with smoke from a passenger. We cannot open a window....having a smoking section in a plane is like having a peeing section in a pool.  <img src="/...

Very Sad To Hear About This..

Ok people, what is the main goal and motive of an airline.....TO FLY PASSENGERS TO A DESTINATION! People nowadays are focusing on whether or not their food is from a fancy seafood and steakhouse in Paris, or a simple meal to get you through the flight. The only thing airlines should have to advertis...

RE: Airlines:Live And Let Die !

Personally, I think that it is great to see airlines back into service that went under a few years ago. It's not bad they are using the same name, there are all new employees. I wish both National and Pan Am luck in the future, 'tis great to see those birds up and flying once again!  <img src="...

RE: American Airlines In White

The reason there are some AA's in white is because of the recent merger between AA and Reno Air, AA got all of Reno Air's old planes, but kept them white.

Comment For "Tripple7"

As a NWA employee, I didnt' appreciate the remark about us being matched with KLM. Our goal at NW is the same, if not higher than the service goals of KLM, and we try hard to make people like you happy on all of our flights. If you don't like NW, pick another carrier and let us do our job. Thanks

Here's What I Know...

I work for NWA on the ramp at SEA...most of our flights via the -10 are to and from MSP, HNL, and DTW. I don't think NW plans on retiring our fleet of -10's, they are efficient, and have a long range, they possibly will be replaced way later in the future, but I dont see it in the near future. On th...

How Do I Send Pictures To Airliners.net!?

I don't have a scanner, so I recently took a roll of pictures, had them developed at Costco, and ordered a picture disk along with my prints, so all my pix were on the disk. I then sent some pictures from that to airliners.net and they say the picture quality wasn't good enough! They looked great on...

Question About Microsoft Flight Simulator...

Are there any programs to better this flight simulator? What I'm looking for are better scenery, and a program where you can add commercial airliners to the simulator. I have already added the B747 one, but looking for one with DC-10's, MD-80's, and any others. Thanks!

RE: The Emptiest Flight

I was on an Alaska MD-80, with no more than 15 passengers, flying from SJC to OAK. When I worked for SWA, I used to fly on the most random flights and times, once on a flight from ABQ to DAL, there were about 9 people on the flight, B737.

Any Good Places To Photograph Planes In Bay Area?

I was wondering if there are any great places to photograph airliners around the Bay Area. So far I have found the spotting point at SFO off of Milbrae, and at SJC, along side the runway on Airport Rd. Haven't found any places at OAK. Anybody have any other suggestions? Thanks!

RE: Airline/Airport Jobs

No you cannot get hired at an airline unless you are minimum 18 years old. I have worked for SW, AS, and NW currently, and that is what I have heard. What position do you want to apply for? I know ramp, and customer service for sure you have to be at least 18. Sorry bud! Give it another few years! T...

What's the deal with Pan Am right now? I heard they it started up again a few years ago, then folded again. Now I see pictures of Pan Am airplanes on this site, and in Airliners magazine, what is their current standing?

Question About Take Off...

I have noticed this during take off evertime I fly on any type of jet. You're sitting there, the brakes are on, the captian releases the breaks and the engines start to rev up. Instead of a continuous "revving up", it feels like he puts them to 50% for like 6 seconds, then applies full throttle. Why...

A Few Questions.......

Why don't we ever see NW 727's on the West Coast like in SFO, SEA, PDX, SJC, etc?

Why did UA re-paint it's fast, yet America West still flies mostly old colored aircraft? Are there any old color UA's still flying?

Will SWA ever get any other aircraft than the 737?

What happened to Kiwi?

RE: Norhwest Orient = NorthWest?

Now dont' quote me on this, but I believe the switch over from Northwest Orient to Northwest was just like the transition from USAir to USairways. Just somthing different. I am an employee of NW and I have never been asked this! Also, it had to do with the earlier service NW had, lots of flights acc...

American Airlines/Reno Air Merger Question

I will be flying to SEA from SJC via American Airlines. I have been seeing a lot of ex Reno Air planes flying around, pure white. I have also seen some new AA's flying that are white and not metalic. Are all of Reno's planes going to remain white with the AA logo? Or are they going to convert them b...
