They kick ass...my favorite widebody in the entire world. Granted, the IFE is minimum at the moment, but if you're like me, the roar of those engines is enough music for my ears, and passing clouds and flexing wings is movie enough...(was that corny?) Anyways, enjoy, we are phasing these birds out f...Jump to post
Flying CO into LAX the other day, we were stopped short of the bay of gates, engines were cut, and we were towed in (after explanation from the captain this was going to happen). Why is this? Regular occurance?

Poor service on flights, flight crews, etc. are not reasons for long hold times. Get the facts straight, and if you want to complain about Alaska, go ahead and write them. We're trying to figure out why the p-h-o-n-e l-i-n-e has such a l-o-n-g h-o-l-d t-i-m-e.

TG992- am I sensing some jelousy? He obviously asked because he didn't know...relax would you? We are very flexible with our passes...but your local agreement is just that, so you'd have to ask the Station Manager of those airlines...good luck! We miss the over-the-counters with you guys at WN, come...Jump to post
I'm planning on attending this one alone...wondering if any of you are going to attend, perhaps we can meet! I'm coming in on CO into IAH...I hear it's at the Sheraton by the airport, is that true? Anybody know of a really cheap hotel close to the airport? Thanks!

Awesome...I'm gonna try that flight next week on my day off. 25 bucks each way for non-rev...not bad! I hear you get guava juice too...

I'm wondering if HA has switched that flight over to their 763's? Anybody know? I still want to non-rev on that flight just for fun, ESPECIALLY if it's still a DC10...

SEA use to have an AWESOME observation deck on the opposite side of the runways from the terminals...excellent for viewing planes doing their stuff...however that has been bulldozed to make way for the new runway. There are, however, many other vantage points to get great shots from. Find Tyee Golf ...Jump to post
This is not a topic on Alaska's safety record... Flight Level...I think you're among the unlucky ones. I have flowns Alaska Airlines over a hundred times (quite literally) and have never had a problem...if you don't like them why do you keep flying them? Back to the topic, I've noticed that too abou...Jump to post
I haven't had a chance to fly on a long haul flight with WN, like PHX-PVD and such, have any of you? If so, what do the flight attendants offer during the flight? Some guys at work don't understand why I fly out every week. How often do you guys go somewhere, whether it's for the day or for a week? Whats the longest distance you've gone for the shortest amount of time. I went to HNL a few years ago for a day, and came back...it was fun! But I'm curious how mu...Jump to post
Does it cost anything to get in, like ahead of time or do you just show up at the door and pay for admission there.

I know I may sound ignorant for asking this, but I have never read anything about this. Is it just like a huge airline collectible show? What kind of things are there, what do you do, is it pay at the door admission or do you have to preregister before attending...any info would be appreciated! SEA ...Jump to post
It's happened a few times, not sure why. I think it's all in the mind, once you start thinking about it, you can't stop. FlightLevel...I see you're new...welcome. I notice that on our 757's, we have two types...one having a lav in front, one in middle, and 2 all the way aft. The other type has a lav in front, 1 just behind f.class, and 2 just behind the wings...with 2 small emergency exits aft of those lavs. Can somebody explain the two types, and why we have...Jump to post
Dude, I don't know what you just tried saying in your last post, but I'll assume that you were trying to get a point accross that I'm full of shi*. My knowledge isn't opinion, it's knowledge. ACTUALLY Ual777contrail...you are the one who is way off, which is ironic seeing that you claim to work for an airline. Most of the UAShuttle titles have been removed, only a handfull are left. Very funny topic, I love it! It is so true too...most of the forum members slammed the food and how awful it is, and now they are complaining because it is gone. This post is part 2 of ScottysAir post about allowing visitors back into concourses again. Flying out of SNA today, we had some hilarious flight attendants.
