RE: Need Level Help

IMHO if you are looking for a reference, I would suggest the light poles behind the aircraft and the VORTAC (the NAVAID) that is in the background just infront of the nosewheel. The horizontal protion of the VORTAC should give somewhat of a good reference to level from. My <img src="/discussion...

I have had my Nikon D70 since Dec 2004 and love it. So far I have taken over 15,000 photos and will keep snapping away. Now that I have my new Sigma 70-200mm APO EX DG lens, I will definitely use it even more.

With all of the so-called bickering going on in recent threads, I thought I would try to liven things up here. I know that there is no real chance that these would make the A.net DB (something about upclose shots of military pilots not being motive), but ...

RE: Please Some Help With Level Rejection

It does need some CCW rotation, but not much. IMHO you should never level the aircraft in a photo, but reference some object in the background such as a water tower, light pole or building. Remember that not every taxiway or runway at an airfield is level.

Your second edit looks better, but IMHO you over rotated the picture. Looks like it could use a slight CCW. Along with that, it seems that there are still 'jaggies' around the tail number and leading edge of the tail. The sign on the hangar to the right seems out of focus to me. Last thing is that t...

If you look at trying the whole plane picture, then IMHO you need to look at fixing the following problems:

 • Jaggies on the plane and building
Just to name a few.

The RAF along with other countries will most likely use 'tactical call-signs' just like the US and Canada. During my military experience, fighter units from various countries will use call-signs that reflect some aspect of their respective squadron/unit.
