I got my CAA/JAA CPL at 120 hours (plus 15 hours sim), and will be attaining my ATPL at a shade over 145 hours (plus 45 hours sim) total; which makes 384 hours for a PPL seem ridiculous!

I don't spot as in logging or writing things - I have a fairly good memory as to what I have seen before, but am not concerned with registrations. I just like to be around the aircraft, hearing the engines and watching them take off. Photography is what keeps me interested.

It was cold here last night; I'm surprised he was concious with no heating - though he may have had protective clothing.

Only info I heard at Oxford today was that he was asked to call at 4dme, and didn't.

It is quite possible that due to the age of the 757s and the maintenance they now require, that is has been determined to be more cost effective to operate payload reduced flights with the A321 as opposed to the 757.

I have no problem with either.

Adoption may be a little weird for the child growing up with two same-sex parents, but I don't see why the couple would be incapable of bringing the child up just as well as normal parents (probably better, judging by some families here!).

You can reclaim the taxes and charges form the airline in most cases - though expect to pay an 'administration fee'; which varies by airline. Most levy a fee which makes it pointless to collect the money back!

I'd imagine that if the 747 was set up for them, at about 4dme on an ILS so that they can follow the <acronym title="Cityflyer Express (United Kingdom)">FD</acronym> bars as well as maintain visual with the runway and its PAPIs, it might be possible, especially if autothrottle is available to them. ...
