Hi <acronym title="Transair (Australia)">JT</acronym>, MEA has been operating two A321s on lease since 1997, F-OHMP and F-OHMQ. The one recieved today is the first plane bought by the company in the last 30 years! So all 6 A321s will be owned by MEA while the A330s will be on lease. Best regards.

Hi Ciro,
As far as I know, there won't be any fleet expansion. The new aircraft will simply replace the ones in operation at present.
So don't expect any immediate or major route expansion for the moment.

A few hours ago, MEA's first A321-200 landed in Beirut International Airport after its delivery to the company by Airbus in Toulouse yesterday (Feb. 17). MEA will recieve a total of 6 A321s till January 2004 and 3 A330-200s in April and May of this year. The new aircraft will be replacing MEA's leas...
