RE: IAH-TPA No Reverse Or Spoilers

I know American Eagle doesn't use T/Rs unless the runway is really short. I assume this would save on fuel and MX costs. Could anyone confirm?

RE: Mesaba To Operate The CRJ900s For NWA

Will these replace any of the routes Mesaba used to fly their ARJs on? We had a daily flight here at MLI with the ARJ, it was a RON from MSP. Anyway, I think the -900 will look gr...

Holy crap man! What possessed you to do that? Are you at least going to be able to enjoy the countries you're going to? Although I will say, I wish I could take a sort of round-the-world tour like that. Myself, I'm just sticking to Florida. MLI-<acronym title="Atlanta - Hartsfield-Jackson Internatio...

Tough question. He doesn't seem like the type of person who would just sit back and twiddle his thumbs. He might try to go after NW, as was mentioned in many threads earlier. It would be nice for him to take a break for a while and run his own airl...

Looks like they were both small aircraft. Both pilots are okay. Here's an article:

The 747 did have its problems, including huge problems with the engines. Of course, I don't they ever had the problem of not having people there to build the thing! duck

Was it due to weather, I'd assume? If so, maybe TYS was the nearest suitable alternate away from all the weather?

I'm basically speechless! What else could go wrong with this airplane? Well, this doesn't have anything to do with the airplane itself, but still, this is another serious blow to the program.

RE: New Large Jet Study By ANA: 777 Or 380

Yikes is about all I can say . If they chose the 777, would they use such a high density seating arrangement, or would they use something more practical? And if they chose the A380, would they use a less dense arrangement or would the...

RE: New Large Jet Study By ANA: 777 Or 380

It seems that the 777 would make sense because of fleet commonality, but do they really need the extra capacity. There is a fairly large gap between the 777 and A380. Did they say which variant they were looking at? I think I heard somewhere that an airline crammed almost 500 seats in a 777-300, whi...

Cool, thanks. It will be interesting to hear what the goverment has to say about all these merger talks and consolidation. I wonder what changes, if any, they suggest or want to implement. RE: Delta Not In Talks With Northwest

As a former Delta Connection employee, I'm praying that they will go it alone. However, I want what is best for the company, and if that means merging then so be it. I just pray that the takeover bid from US gets hung out to dry, as from day one it has made no sense to me. Maybe the <acronym title="...
