So stopping the export of titanium to Boeing, even though their airlines purchase hundreds of boeing aircraft?

Re: Aegean signs MoU for 20+10 Airbus 320neo and 321neo

The entire A320ceo fleet will not be replaced, there are some frames that will be only 4-5 years old when for Neo's arrive. A3 has a business model with an out look of 70~ aircraft (by mainline A3 alone).

Re: When will Cubana finally start flying to the United States?

The last time CU aircraft have landed at a US airport was not that long back in 2015 at KSWF - New York for a UN meeting, an Antonov An-150 and Ilyushin Il-96-300 were parked side by side. Would've been an interesting sight.

Re: Question about Air Koryo new livery

New livery or not, Air Koryo must have some pretty old planes. What aircraft can Air Koryo even order? Russian aircraft? But with sanctions on NK now I wonder what there allowed to order. Their mainline fleet are less than 10 years old. As quoted yes the Tu-204 fleet still feature the cheatline. An...

Re: The undisclosed european CSeries customer

Did we mention the unlikely but possible SAS, Finnair and Aegean yet? Aegean makes sense indeed. A lot of short 30-45 mins hops within Greece and on some of them it is quite difficult to fill a 150+ seat plane. Don't see them buying that many planes in one order though. Well they have stated they w...

Re: Australian Aviation Thread - February 2018

I’m still stunned they are moving both frequencies - but I imagine the costs must be significantly lower, Melbourne airport has been growing, perhaps their start up discounts have ended? I would struggle to see Bangkok from AVV but DPS perhaps. Be interesting to see if JQ could do a 320 to DPS from...

Re: Former Saudia MD-11F was ferried from JED to MHV

AFAIK neither was part of the Royal Flight. almost all SV aircraft are part of the Royal Fleet (see the distinction I made?) They can be pulled in for Royal duties such as ferrying cars around the globe. SV has always been this curious hybrid of Royal Flight, airline and Air Force. The MD-11F has b...

Re: Iran aviation thread - 2018

The ATRs are the most important piece of the fleet at the moment. Iran is a pretty large country and there is a solid need for good domestic travel. Incoming A320 family aircraft will be a big part of this too. Get the basics in place as they are doing, and operating those 773ERs will fit nicely wi...

Re: Question about Air Koryo new livery

Actually P-632 and P-633 both Tu-204s have had revisions in their liveries. Initially delivered in the standard livery they recently had the flag on the tail replaced with the new styled "wavey" flag. P-671 the first an-148 delivered has been fully repainted into that new livery also. Init...

Re: Airlines In Communist Albania

I expected OA flying there, but AF surprises me. I mean, they fly to all of Africa, so Albania is "more of the same". Robert Young Pelton once wrote: Albania is such a poor country that it wouldn't be weird than countries such as Liberia, Sierra Leone or Niger made a Live Aid concert for ...

From February 6 Aegean and Hainan will be launching codesharing on : Aegean flights: Brussels – Beijing Rome – Xi’An Hainan flights: Athens – Brussels Athens – Rome What I find strange is that CA has been operating into ATH at first as a tag from DXB then MUC and now has gone a dedicated terminator ...

I doubt there will be any increase in CA's daily services to FCO, they operate a nice product on the 789 to FCO as well. Not to mention CZ & MU have FCO covered from PVG, CAN, WUH & WNZ.
