Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

What route is the longest on UA’s 550’s? I do strongly believe that TODAY every seat on every aircraft should have power, that said, if the majority of the routes are 1.5ish hours from wheels up to touch down, it’s understandable if they come last after a 737 or A319/20. United is looking to add Azul to it's Latin America JV. The proposed joint venture will be delayed due to the potential inclusion of a 4th partner and ongoing issues with Avianca. It'd be a pretty well-rounded group of carriers if they can all pull this off. "United stated last week that it wa...

The CRJ-550s are destined for in-seat power. Once there are enough converted to cover all routes plus spares, the fleet will rotate out for in seat power nose to tail. I believe some will enter service with the power and others will be pulled once they can be. Great news! I don’t want to be greedy ...

That’s shocking that there isn’t any power at every seat today. I know they will mostly be short flights, but still! This is a hand held gadget world we live in!

I will be interested to see the fares if you only book a trip from X to EWR/ORD, especially the difference between F and Y!

Great news about the 737 fleet. Frankly I find UA’s 73G’s to be ok. It is the 737-800 that really frustrates me. First, they are so pervasive with 141 frames, the dullest interiors, the WORST First Class seat ever. About 5/6 months ago I went to Miami for the weekend. On the way down from EWR it was...

Not being able to control whether or not I can see outside is the most miserable part of flying in a 787. I selected a window seat to see outside--whether it's just blue ocean, the tops of clouds, or the Grand Canyon. If a dark cabin is that important to a person perhaps they should invest a dollar...
