New director starts October 1st. He did mention that Manchester’s fees were high for its size. He definitely wants to lower those fees.Jump to post

Rainy days make the mind wonder sometimes. With AA seeming to be the only airline right now somewhat interested in Manchester would a flight to PHX or DFW work? As mentioned before it would be nice to have a Midwest flight out of the snow belt. How did Southwest do on the PHX route back when they la...Jump to post
A local Manchester New station contacted WN. WN mentioned that they were happy for Manchester and that cargo was up 60%.Jump to post
With UA ORD flight from MHT axed (hopefully not for too long) why would WN go less than daily to MDW? I would of thought the Southwest would of seen a opportunity to add a flight or larger aircraft but they did the complete opposite by reducing flight and no flight at all on Sundays. I call it the ...Jump to post

On October 13 I am scheduled to fly from Fort Myers to Manchester on DL. My booking was RSW-LGA-MHT. But I have discovered that they've switched me to RSW-ATL-MHT, and the ATL-MHT leg is shown as a 737-700. But I'm hearing from someone on our FB spotters page that it may actually end up being a 737...Jump to post
Greyhound goes from MHT to So station in Boston. $17 one way. 6AM, 4PM and 6PM.Jump to post
I’d like to see “Boston” go as well from the name. Just try and do it in a way to not spends all kinds of money changing signage wall coverings etc. keep the same logo and everything just as renovations happen just change it to “Manchester airport”.Jump to post
Thanks for the advice everyone. A family member told me that Death Valley wasn’t that great I’m glade to here otherwise. I was hoping to get to Fremont Street. Any suggestions on parking for the strip? I was thinking the MGM garage on Tropicana ave looks like an easy in and out.Jump to post
I’ve gotten good ideas here in the past about planing up coming trips so I’ll give it a try again. Heading to LAS for the first time at the end of September for three and a half days. I arrive around 1 pm on the first day I was planning on visiting the strip on this day. I had a day trip to Death Va...Jump to post
Not to be overly pessimistic about MHT, but what are the odds of UA pulling out entirely? In 2 weeks UA's presence at Manchester will be just 2-3x daily to EWR with ERJ-145s. That's a "token" presence if I've ever seen one. I think the chances are good. I’d never go through EWR to get any...Jump to post

Has anyone seen the recently published magazine on BGR airport? The company I work for published that magazine lots of great photos and information in it.Jump to post
Looks like the same thing happened here in New Hampshire years ago. Saw this on the local news.

I don’t think you can blame just bad weather in Manchester it’s been the whole east coast for the past month it seems.

I know of some airports that struggle because the businesses are publicly traded or have government contracts and are not able to provide financial support. A.net tends to have blinders on for airports and only thinks in terms of passenger service. In my opinion, MHT has a greater chance of being t...Jump to post

In the WN thread someone posted that BOS is getting “hammered”. I was just curious what the history of WN at BOS is as far as amount of daily flights beginning high point and now. I would imagine that with the added get when they go to “B” they’ll be able to expand more.Jump to post

Years ago as an acknowledged MHT 'fan boy,' I lamented the precipitous fall-off after 2005. But nowadays I really don't care much because dealing with Logan is acceptable for me. The PreFlight parking is good (my company pays) and the bus from Tyngsboro is quite good unless you have a REAL early de...Jump to post
I work at a magazine publisher and sometimes the paper dust in the HVAC units will set off the fire alarms. Agree 100% on the lack of urgency and progress. It's been a years-long malaise that, early-on, could be 'explained away' as something all small airports were encountering. But then PVD started waking up. Then PWM. And soon, MHT folks couldn't explain it away without it sounding hollow. Of course, w...Jump to post
I do use search engines such as Google, Trip Advisor, Trivago, Hotels.com and Hotwire to research but then book via the hotel website or direct by phone or email. I do not book on 2nd or 3rd party websites as to risk of who assumes responsibility when something goes wrong with the property or accom...Jump to post
That was a interesting day. DL had an A330 and I believe a 737. 2 B6 A320s. Virgin America had an A320 and WN had a couple as well. Thunder storms in Boston that day.
Manchester had an DL A330 diversion from AMS a few years ago flew over my house that was pretty interesting.Jump to post
I just travel for leisure so my experiences my not matter. But my recent flights out of Manchester have all been priced right inline with Boston. MHT-DTW-FRA $100 more out of Manchester. MHT-ATL-PNS same exact price. BOS-ORD-BZN Manchester would of been $20 cheaper this was a business trip and there...Jump to post
I had asked the same question about the engines I was told that they now have similarly short flights now.Jump to post
