Nice report & pics. I've flown J on AY 350 and really like the cabin. Think AY do a good job !Jump to post
Superb report throughly enjoyable & detailed. Nice to see the new SAA J but nicer to see SQ - very jealous !!
Thanks for sharing.
Very nice report in these very nice cabins.
But can someone clarify : Is The Residence not the Apartments ?? Are they seperate cabins/classes ? Can't even work it out on Seat Guru. So is EY A380 confirgured as Residence/Apartments/Business/Economy ? Is that right ?
Not the shortest but a few nice WB's out of London.

Something that I am involved with is working as an 'On Board Courier' hence my user name. The work is unpredictable/infrequent and random but we do get to fly a lot ! Based at LHR anything from Paris to Sydney could come up at any time. Flights are normally in Y but the points I build up allow for s...Jump to post
Thanks for sharing. It sure is a classy cabin, although as you say nowhere near EY/EK/QF and more like a very good J cabin !
Always nice to see a good report on my beloved BA .... thanks !
Thanks for the report! Regarding the IFE, it's nothing to do with the EU so not sure why that was announced! BA doesn't have the rights (from film studios) to have the IFE switched on on European routes (bar ATH, IST and LCA). Oh really never knew. Maybe those rights from the film studios are the E...Jump to post
So which was better BA club world LHR-MAD or this? Looking at your photos it looks like there is way more space in business on LATAM than BA Club World. That might just because I am not really a fan on the top tail arrangement on BA. By the way thanks for the trip report. Alex Thanks Alex. Yes more...Jump to post
My wife, as someone who thinks flying for fun is just something crazy people do said 'You've done this flight already !' She was right but also wrong. Then it was LAN Chile 787-8, now it is LATAM B787-9 with newer updated J cabin (Not sure about Y ?). With LA also operating AKL-SYD-AKL this is a wel...Jump to post
When BA announced they were using a B772 on the 458/457 MAD run I knew I had to try it ! Due to on going issues I struggle to load photos onto here so photos can be found here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/albums/72157680919095762 Using some BA/Avios I booked a one way Club Europe tic...Jump to post
Nice report. Good to see as I'm on this flight next week in J. Looking forward to it !Jump to post
This crazy. We're talking about a BA 777 operating to MAD and it gets like this !!
You can only book Club Europe & Economy for these flights just the same as all other European flights. Higher status customers may get bumped up but not even sure F gets used ? Maybe some one can clarify ?
Really nice report & pictures, most jealous ! Is it me - where did Part 1 go ?Jump to post
"Why wasn't the upgrade honoured? He hasn't paid for a CW product so wouldn't be sat in CW would he? Priority for the CW cabin would have gone to full fare and loyal customers, not upgrades. As someone else pointed out, the seats in WT+ and respective cabin are equal if not better than on short...Jump to post
So the original question was: DY 787 European routes? The demand to Côte d'Azur is great in summer and Norwegians seem to prefer direct flights regardless the price. Any other European destinations? Canaries during the winter perhaps? As I mentioned above BCN + AGP both get the 787 to OSL. There ar...Jump to post
Nice TR ! Good to see the service on such a short trip but as the only ones operating the route yes you pay the price as you say.Jump to post
Norwegian on fire right now. I'm just waiting/hoping for LGW-BKK to start and often wonder why this one hasn't started yet ?!?! They know BKK and pax numbers from U.K. are certainly there. The timing for Norwegian & Boeing has been perfect. With DY expansion and the 787 coming along. Not sure th...Jump to post
I took the flight a few weeks back and it was a nightmare. I was nearly 2 hours late leaving as it was delayed coming in from BUE, then the cleaning and catering were late. I'd booked Y, but paid for an upgrade to business, had a boarding pass for a Row 4 rear facing seat, then at the gate it was c...Jump to post
Yes it is interesting this route/aircraft. I am actually booked on BA458 in May in J. Aircraft shows 772 F14/J48/W40/Y122. BA booking only allow J & Y bookings so not sure when/how F & W get used. Maybe higher status customers will get get the benefit of a bump up although would be suprised ...Jump to post

The Thomas Cook B767's are now gone, one has gone to Amazon Prime Air, and the other 2 to Condor. However, still plenty of widebody action from MAN: Jet2 will have an A330 to various points, notably Palma, Rhodes and Tenerife. Thomson use a B787 for various short haul flights Thomas Cook use the A3...Jump to post
Not that amazing. BA often sells ex MAD/BCN/BIO to SIN for around €400 return and that includes luggage and meals etc. Absolutely ! Done it myself £363.00 MAD-LHR-SIN-LHR-MAD including IB A345 to LHR. Taking advantage of those cheap ex EU fares !! I prefer to pay 470€ instead of 800€, call me crazy...Jump to post
As we all know Norwegian Long Haul are on fire right now with more routes coming on board all the time. As someone only 45mins from LGW it's great with cheap fares to USA & now SIN. But what would DY look like now without the Dreamliner ? Has the 787 enabled DY to open routes and offer these che...Jump to post

Nice report. I'm doing the MAD>FRA in this aircraft next month in J. Looking forward to it after this review. CheersJump to post
Very nice report ! Dream)liner is indeed a nice ride & NZ cabin looks good. They only thing I'd like to know & VS do the same is how difficult to look out your window with seats facing inward ? Having recently flown AY & CX J looking straight towards the window surely has to be the way t...Jump to post
Great report. Very enjoyable. They sometimes use the A330 on LGW>TFS which I'm trying catch later this year. Cabin looks nice.Jump to post
My friend just returned from ADD (To LHR) and said the airport is ok. You wouldn't be there for long anyway as a transit pax. Plus ET onboard service is good. If you're Star A loyal, get to fly A350, B788 and transit thru ADD what's not to like ?!? If I couldn't afford BA then ET for me !Jump to post
Well I'm from/in London & love BA ! I'm genuinely the biggest fan. I think LHR T5 is great, short haul, long haul cabins are really nice (including Club World), British service and nice new aircraft. I look forward to every flight including LHR-PHX in CW later this week ! Cannot wait.Jump to post
You can book through any normal search engine (Ebookers ..... etc) but http://www.airevents.de can get you a cheaper/deal price for any a.nutters. Flights are Day 1 + 5 only DUS>LUX>DUS. Good luck !Jump to post
Am booked in a couple of weeks to fly BA Club World LHR>PHX>LHR and have a few questions if anyone has experience ?? The LHR T3 lounge is BA Galleries - right ? Is it any good ? Showers ? The 744's out of T3 I've heard are non refurbed so will be getting the older cabin I believe ? (Which I don't mi...Jump to post
I would say absolutely worth it yes. If you have to travel for work then why not open up both Star A & OW accounts ? I have. Although I'm concentrated on BA Avios/One World being based at LHR. My BA Amex spend all goes to my account also and they all add up. I've used points to upgrade, car hire...Jump to post

Are you loyal to any alliance ? I try to always fly BA being O/W for my status and TG/BR being *A. Having tried them all on this route I would say there isn't a bad one really. BA - As well as my BA status I am a big BA fan - like everything about them, seats/IFE, crew, food/drink. TG - A380 (Someti...Jump to post
