Re: Quebec City Aviation Thread - 2019

Anyone think there is a chance AC will launch YQB-BOS? DL tried it in 2006. It failed. http://www.massport.com/massport/media/newsroom/delta-airlines-announces-service-to-quebec-city-logan-airport-continues-to-work-with-airlines-to-add-more-service/ DL has actually been on and off that route a few ...

I am quite surprised that DL has not been able to make YQB-JFK work even seasonally. Maybe with preclearance seasonal service to LGA could work better.

Re: A citizens’ group fed up with the noise from flights in and out of YUL are stepping up their legal battle

I know this question's probably not relevant to the situation why weren't the Canadian government or the Quebec provincial government mandate that all traffic should go to Mirabel when it was just opened in the 1970s? I just ask because it's been bandied about that distance is a factor for people's...

Re: A citizens’ group fed up with the noise from flights in and out of YUL are stepping up their legal battle

Moving the airport is not going to happen. There has been massive investment into YUL over the last 15+ years, and it is paying off in the form of rapid growth, specifically on the international side and developing into a true connecting hub for AC. The upcoming light rail connection will only solid...

Delta has already dropped about 50 destinations from the 2008 peak, even while growing the LAX and SEA hubs. What's the incremental trip cost of a CR7 vs. a CR2 on a 600-mile segme...

Around the turn of the millennium, DL planned to have BOS become a full hub. At least that's what I was told in training. And then of course times changed dramatically after 9/11. Re: Unserved markets in the US.

RUT vermont... South vermont could use something other than Cape Air's C402. RUT is both sparsely populated and economically stagnant. 9K is probably the only way that airport can be profitably served, and it's a good option - I'd rather take 9K, a very established airline in BOS and the NE general...

Re: Unserved markets in the US.

The ERJ-145's operating out of ROA to both PHL and LGA only list 40 seats, that's quite a weight restriction, 20% and ROA has two runways, 6800 feet and 5810 feet. Re: RE: Porter Mulls New Strategy Outside YTZ

Given the situation though it seems that the Board and CEO should have had a "plan B" and the obvious situation of them not having a "Plan B" sure would not give me the warm and fuzzy feeling a shareholder is hoping to feel. As an outsider I would wonder how viable YMX is as alt...
