Re: Future of YUL

Given that the city will only become more populous in the future, perhaps YMX will once again become a commercial airport. Maybe the idea was right, just the timing was wrong. I seriously doubt it. The old terminal was taken down a few years ago, and portions of the land expropriated for the airpor...

Easy to route certain types of traffic connecting over CLE, less efficient aircraft, burden CLE cost accounting with the sunk cost of D which was planned for a bigger hub, etc. you’re waaaaaaaay too trusting of three letters ...

They seemed to have reverted back to the tried and true strategy of adding to JFK whenever they are hurting elsewhere. Which...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

ACK is looking to be on track for a big summer. I wonder where are these passengers are staying on the island? No major new hotels have opened that I am aware of. Is demand to the island actually increasing or are people just shifting away from driving/taking to ferry to hopping on a flight?

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

In another article a member of the Chamber of Commerce said the service to BOS has come down to two cities--BTV and ROC. In other words, they're definitely in talks with someone. DL is of course would be the natural fit, but could it be B6 or even some UA RON mainline? Regarding demand I imagine it...

Re: YQB US Pre-Clearance Facility

Not to veer completely off topic from YQB, but the talk about PD shifting a bunch of their flights from EWR to LGA once pre-clearance is in place will have to clear a major hurdle - slots and where they could get them. It won't be from DL (given their relationship with WS). I doubt any of the other ...

Re: YUL-LGA upgrading to A-320 on May 1

I was surprised to note in the latest AC schedule that 3 of the 8 daily YUL-LGA flights will be upgraded to Air Canada A-320 from Skyservice E-75 equipment as of May 1'19. I fly this route often and don't ever remember mainline since the DC-9 days way back when (eighties?). Skyservice will continue...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN) - 2019

UA’s SFO and NK’s MYR going year round I can see happening. I can also see Alaska going to SEA if anything for the aerospace traffic. I don’t see Sun Country coming in but eventually B6 will start service to JAX once the 220’s arrive. Upgrades in aircraft....more A321’s for B6 out of BDL. Possibly ...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

AA in May is upgauging flights from HVN to both PHL and CLT. HVN-PHL flights will be 1 CRJ-200, 1 CRJ-700 and 1 E-175. HVN-CLT flight will be a CRJ-700. Loads have been very strong and I expect the CLT flight to go daily soon. I see a pattern developing similar to HHH in that AA service to HHH attr...
