It wouldn't surprise me if ATL is one of the announcements that they make in the coming months. They have expressed interest in serving the airport once they receive their new A321LR aircraft.Jump to post
Looks like Korean Air is bringing back the 747-8 for the summer season.

The New Zealand Herald is reporting that former president Barack Obama will visit New Zealand in March, and that the trip has been arranged by Air New Zealand. Although the reason for the visit is unknown, there has been speculation that Air New Zealand will announce service to Chicago during the vi...Jump to post
Not anytime soon. As many have pointed out, Jacksonville does not have the tourist appeal that Orlando, Tampa and Miami have, and also suffers from being not too far from MCO.Jump to post
Statistics for the year 2017 have officially been released by the airport management. For total aircraft operations, the number for 2017 stands at 879,560, which represents a 2.09% decrease from 2016's number of 898,356. For total passengers, we have 103,902,992 passengers that flew through the airp...Jump to post
Well done MCI. If this exceeds expectations as a seasonal flight, then I could eventually see it going year round.Jump to post
I found this article from Irish Central that states that ATL is one of many US cities that Aer Lingus is considering the launch of once they receive their new Airbus A321LR's.

Sadly yes. That to me is one of the downsides of the airport master plan, but hey, on the bright side we’ll have the Domestic terminal canopies as a new noticeable feature for the airport once those are done. While I will miss the red and orange, I do like the new look. It is very clean and neat. D...Jump to post
Why no airline other than DL operates BNA-ATL is baffling. The fares are astronomic and the flights always full. WN, F9, NK??? If any airline is going to fly ATL-BNA against DL, it’s going to be WN. I think some competition on that route would be good because it would help bring those high fares do...Jump to post
With the modernizations going on at Hartsfield, are the red/orange exterior panels being removed permantly? If they are, it’s the end of an era as those panels are unique and one of the most noticeable features of the concourses. Sadly yes. That to me is one of the downsides of the airport master p...Jump to post
With 2017 drawing to a close, what are your 2018 predictions for the world's busiest airport? Hopefully we won't have to deal with any power outages again am I right? Jokes aside, here are my predictions for ATL in 2018: 1. WS could potentially start ATL-YYC as a result of their new joint ven...Jump to post
I flew DEN to ATL on Delta yesterday, and from what I observed, the modernizations of the concourses seem to be coming along very nicely. Much of the ceiling at the entrance of Concourse A had been removed, and some new ceiling as well as new signage for the gates had been installed as well. I also ...Jump to post

As a wildcard how about Las Vegas? I don't have any numbers as to number of people who fly between Japan and LAS but thought I would throw this one out there. Japan Airlines actually used to fly to LAS, but 9/11 killed the route. I would not be surprised if JL resumes LAS in the next couple years o...Jump to post

Here’s a video from YouTube that was taken from inside the aircraft involved in the crash of AF447. This was filmed about a year before it crashed.

As a big fan of baseball, I think this is great.Jump to post
They did say that they were going to launch LAS not too long ago.
DFW is a given, and I think SEA is likely as well. I would say ATL, but I think we all know why that will never happen.
The last time KE flew the -8 into ATL was prior to March of 2017 when they flew a mix of the 747, A380 and the 777. As of right now, it is just a 777-300ER. I’m not fully sure of when they will bring back the 747-8, but I wouldn’t rule out a possible return for the summer season next year.Jump to post
I forgot to share this with you guys earlier, but the Development Authority of Clayton County passed a resolution that pitches a logistics hub called Mountain View near the Airport as an ideal site for Amazon’s 2nd HQ. https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2017/10/17/atlanta-airport-site-could-be...Jump to post

With the first scheduled passenger flight for Delta's A350 nearing, would anyone happen to have any predictions for new or existing routes Delta could fly their A350's on from ATL? DTW has NRT, ICN, PEK and PVG in Asia, AMS in Europe, perhaps one of these? ATL-ICN will be an A350 route starting Mar...Jump to post
Would anyone happen to know if Delta's A350's have the tail camera like all the other airlines that fly the A350 do? they do not. Well that sucks. I was looking forward to having one at my seat if I ever got the chance to fly on them from ATL. In spite of all that, I still think Delta's A350's are ...Jump to post
Ditto - kudos to Massport for being able to attract new carriers every year!! Really. Think about it . . . in just over five years, BOS has added first time non-stop services to NRT, HKG, PVG, PEK, MEX, PTY, BOG, IST, TLV, DOH and DXB. And now GRU. MEX was previously served in mid 2000's Add YVR (r...Jump to post
