RE: What Was Seat Pitch In The Good Old Days?

On a Viscount, for example, the seat pitch was allegedly a stunning 38"!!
Now that's what I call comfort!

RE: UPS 727-100

The 727 looks like a nice plane to me, I was never lucky enough to fly on one though. We get our share of 727-200s of Libyan Arab here in Malta, but I don't think there's a single -100 operating anywhere in Europe!

RE: Most Stupid Remark Of A Passenger

Well, perhaps this is not such a surprising thing to notice, but I've flown with Air Malta MLA-VIE or MLA-BRQ and back several times, on an RJ-70 (luckily, they got rid of these uncomfortable, crowded planes), and it was always interesting to watch the horrified faces of the other passengers who rea...

RE: DC-8 Vs 707

Advanced: did you actually fly with Air Malta on a CV-880? I thought I knew all about AM's history, but it seems I'm mistaken - i didn't know they ever had a CV-880.

RE: How Far To Your Closest Airport?

Well, it's not really an airport, but my closest airport is Xewkija Heliport, Gozo, IATA code GZM. From here, Malta Aircharter, a division of Air Malta, operates several Mi-8 helicopters to Malta International, MLA, which is about 8min flight away.
Xewkija is about 7 min by car from me.

RE: The Mysterious Trans Florida Air...

Well, it beats me, because on this other discussion someone said that the viscount has been sitting at DAB for about 15 years already. Never mind, I will contact them for myself.
Thanks anyway,

RE: Least And Most Seat Pitch

On a Viscount, according to the History section, the pitch was a stunning 38". As for the least, Air Malta is certainly a candidate - don't know exactly how much but it's pretty cramped in there!

The Mysterious Trans Florida Air...

Does anyone know the web page or e-mail address of Trans Florida air? I need to contact them regarding a Viscount they own which is sitting at DAB. In case you know the mailing address, that would be useful, too. Thanks to all.

RE: Vickers Viscount

Thanks everyone for all the news, however I couldn't find Interjet Swaziland on Barnstormers. Also, can someone please signal to me the online presence of Trans Florida, or if none, their mailing address? Also, more info about the Viscounts in Indonesia would help a lot. However, thanks anyway for a...

Yes, actually the only ones I know about are the ones in Lanseria and I am in contact with the owners.
Can anyone please give a hint on how to contact Andre Vigano?

Vickers Viscount

I'm trying to trace down any remaining operational viscounts in the world, so if you know about any, their operator and reg. no. would come in useful to me.
Thanks in advance!
