Why do you want a fisheye lens? If you want to have that fisheye effect, you should buy one. But if it's about having wider than your current 17 mm, it will be better if ytou looked at the Canon 10-22, or Sigma 10-20 and 12-24, Tamron 11-18 or Tokina 12-24. Instead of the Sigma, look at the Canon 70-300 IS lens. I have one Sigma lens, the 100-300 F4 which is excellent but the one you mention may disappoint you a little even though I haven't used it myself.

I don't know what you chose to believe but I know volunteers in the Red Cross and one of them was injured in the incident.
