Thanks a lor for all the info, foxtail. I just want to be sure on something; when you say "you don't approach the fence and show them the camera" does that mean I should be away from the fence and if someone comes to check, I should show the camera and tell them I am spotting or does it mean I shoul...
Jump to postThanks a lot for your response, foxtail. I was wondering whether there'll be any issues with the authorities, actually. And whether it would be hard to walk from the airport to a decent spotting location... Seems I need to learn everything... <img src="http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-for...

Thanks a lot, Darren. I've seen similar messages from you and waiting a similar message and got it. I've send a PM with a link to download the original and looking forward to see what you can pull out of it.

I will be visiting Moscow for two days, between 9th and 11th of March. My plane takes off at 4:15 <acronym title="Tropic Air (Belize)">PM</acronym> and I plan to reserve the 11th to spotting. I will wake up pretty early and go to the airport and plan to take photos until 1 <acronym title="Tropic Air...

Ehm... halos and dirty I can fix. I must confess I've forgotten final cleaning. Do you see any problems regarding the sharpness?
Jump to postEhm... yes I do. Frankly, I thought this would attract more attention. I won't open new ones if it is a problem.

Jump to postI guess the reason is the jagged lines in front of the wing.
Jump to postThank you vikkyvik and Kaphias. The post was clear but it seems my mind wasn't...
Yes, I do use Bicubic sharper as well. But I was wondering whether it would be better to downsize by let's say 10% intervals rather than just downsizing in a single step.
Jump to postHi... Do you guys use a special technique while downsizing? As I resize my images, mostly jagged edges appear and I wonder whether there's a smart way of doing this.

Jump to postThanks for the feedback. I used the word "soft" instead of oversharpened. It seems I have a tendency towards oversharpening and was trying to overcome this by noise reduction. Its obvious I need to edit better.

Oh... I now see that I misunderstood. A330 shot is backlit and that's a rejection. I get that.
What about the Azerbaijan shot? Do you think that might be accepted with a better edit?
Best.
Yes, your right. I use a lot of Noise Reduction cause I get a lot of "soft" criticism and I still do not know how to decide what amount is appropriate and how much is too much. <img src="http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/graphics/smilies/smile.gif" width="15" height="15" border="0"/...

Jump to postSadly I have a tendency towards oversharpening. A couple of minutes ago I deleted all my edited images cause I want to get decent results before saving.
Looking for advice on avoiding oversharpening and appropriate sharpening techniques.
Thanks in advance.
Another thing I wonder is the size of your JPGs. I guess after editing RAWs you guys turn them into JPEGs without changing the size. Then, if you need to post them into a 1024 px size limited forum, you resize, right?
