Is it a large enough market? Just because it's "in range", doesn't make it economically doable. All those other markets you mentioned are major city pairs while Chitose is only around 100K.

Until the US overreaches and forces the rest of NATO into conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq which didn't threaten the US's security at all. The chances of Europe and Russia going to war are about as likely as finding WMD's in Iraq. I agree about Iraq, but we had a reason for going into Afghanistan....

I remember when the Davey Terminal was mainly United in the late 70s. Every year I would fly a UA DC10 to SFO to visit my brother at Ft Ord. I'm glad that not many call the Delta Terminal the "McNamara". He was a bit of a crook, although he was good for the airport.

The DTW terminal is wonderful, but it is a bit oversized for DL’s current operations. I know it was built to be NW’s primary hub, but DL was only running around 450 flights pre-covid IIRC. It would be nice if they flowed more connections over DTW going forward. That's part of the beauty of it...it'...
