RE: Photo Report Air Canada 777-300ER YYZ-LHR Economy

Very good pictures, and a nice trip report. Having just had a pretty poor experience on one of AC's A333s in Executive First, your Economy flight looks appealing on the 77W!

Don't get me wrong, I think Canada is truly a fantastic and beautiful country, with almost everyone I met on my trip very helpful and approachable. I just don't think Air Canada represents the country of Canada very well. I believe that a trip report is meant to give a flavour of that particular per...

Forgot to add this bit: Arrival: Our arrival was about an hour ahead of schedule (strong tail winds, according to the captain), which was surprising and most welcome! The cabin crew did a good job of holding back Economy pax while J passengers were allowed to deplane first, again through door...

Thanks for all your comments. Perhaps the 'national disgrace' title was a bit overboard, but then it did start quite a discussion! As Comeflywithme says, I don't really think it matters what age you are. I was flying with my mother on a long-earned mini-family break, which due to personal cirumstanc...

RE: One Thing You Dislike About FSX

A lack of emergency situations (eg. being able to declare an emergency/emergency landing with fire trucks etc.). A lack of realistic damage (eg. bits breaking off!). Only 1 airbridge per gate - some gates in real life have two, and as for A380 gates - they have three or more. More aircraft are neede...

Emergency Exit Slides

Is there any add-on aircraft for FSX out there where you can deploy emergency exit slides?

Also, can you edit the aircraft.cfg files so that other emergency exit doors can open?

Thanks in advance. Smile

RE: Build A New PC For FSX - Advice Needed

That system looks fine that you suggest, Bekrol. However, I would consider upgrading the memory from 2GB to 4GB, as FSX can be a little bit jumpy even with 2GB and (although very infrequently) give a 'lack of system memory' message. Alternativley, you could consider (if you're loading the <acronym t...

RE: Emirates A380s Will Have Showers

The whole idea of showers on an airplane sounds pretty disgusting. Yes, it would be a commercial aviation first, but what about the health and safety risks? Not just the hygene issues - also the other issues raised of turbulence etc. would need to be addressed. Obviously Emirates have thought this t...

I don't think the London Lounge (Air Canada/SAS) at LHR T3 is all that bad - you get some decent views over some of the gate area and taxiways.

Good trip report! You were lucky with the upper deck World Business Class seats - these used to be First Class seats (as did the seats in the nose cabin), and have a much better seat pitch (70" I believe) compared to the business class seats on the main deck.
