Since till Emirates, Singapore papers confirms too that Emirates and Air France has firm orders for the A3XX. Air France ordered 10... the papers did not mentioned how many Emirates ordered.

Hey! SIA has confirmed an order for the A3XX planes. But Boeing said that it will stay commited to their B747Xs family despite this announcement made by SIA.

They work both ways. It depends on airlines. BA will take that second option you have provided that is "the first crew fly for about 3 hours, then the second crew or "relief crew" take care in the middle, then after maybe 3 hours, the original crew assumes duty again for landing" Hope these helps. Hi, Wonder which is the engine type will rule the airline engines industry. Presently, it's the GE and the P&W. But it seems that more airlines and new aircrafts prefer Rolls Royce engines now... A340-400/500/600, A3XX... etc. Don't turn this to the engines or airlines war... just getting some comme...

Most of them are are powered by P&W but interms of noise, Rolls Royce is the best. Reverser trust isn't noisy at all.

SAS flies their B737-600s mainly to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Stockholm and inside Scandinavia of course. That's all I'm sure, not sure if they have other routes... anyway, enjoy your trip!!!

I have been in a Garuda's MD-11s 4 years back. Engine no. 1 had engine failure and the captain made a descent to 10,000 feet I suppose and he was able to start up the engine again. Till now, I didn't know whay or why this happened... can it still be started up??? Maybe someone or some pilots can exp...
