Do we see IND - CDG staying with the frequency it has this fall and winter next year? Or will to do what they did in PIT and just do summer flying!? Fall will stay, but depending on how they do, they could/not run the route next winter. I think they will probably keep it, but we will have to wait a...
Jump to postWill CVG ever be renamed as William Howard Taft International Airport? CVG finally posted traffic number through to November. Pax traffic is up 13.77% YTD. Looks like CVG will finish the year at ~8.9 million pax, numbers not seen since before 2010. http://cvgairport.com/docs/default-source/stats/cvg-air-traffic-stats-2018-thru-november.pdf?sfvrsn=16 Posted this back a...
Jump to postAllegiant has added CVG to ORF service beginning June 7th with 2x/week service. Interesting route, but its only 2x/wk so you never know. It will be interesting to see if they can stimulate leisure traffic like they did with the other costal cities like VPS/MYR/CHS/SAV/etc. BNA-ORF/SYR (and now GRR) ...
Jump to postUnlike BNA-ATL, where it is connecting a midsized market to a top 10 market, BNA-IND is a route connecting two mid-sized markets of similar size. As such, I cannot imagine there is a ton of O&D between the cities, so a WN 737 may be too much plane. That said, connections may be needed to make t...

More snow than Cincy has seen in awhile. Seems like this is DAL1708 LAS-CVG?
From twitter, looks like a lot of snow:
CVG November stats are out:
- Pax up 13.77% YTD - 8,196,651 (will be just short of 9 million for 2018)
- Movements up 7.86% YTD - 148,459
- Cargo up 20.0% - 1,120,933 tons
Now that the A220s are coming in and B717s are finally being shifted east, it will be interesting to see what routes they upguage at CVG. I'd imagine we will see more B717s than A220s, but hopefully both make appearances. Seems like CVG-DTW/MSP/NYC/BOS/Texas would be the best chances for more mainli...
Jump to postApparently NK and/or G4 are announcing some new routes tomorrow. Sounds like it will be an interesting morning, even if nothing comes for CVG/CMH/DAY. There is no real need for NK to add service to CVG since WN could add CVG-DAL, CVG-FLL, CVG-RSW, CVG-HOU, CVG-LAS, CVG-MSY, and CVG-TPA nonstop serv...

Recently F9 has been loading new routes over a series of multiple days. There is definitely a shot that they load CVG-BOS in the next few days.

I don't think this would be wise for AS, DL also might be connecting Asia traffic through this route. The load factor for August for DL's CVG-SEA flight was 86% and it was on a 738. If Alaska brings in what they typically do, a 739 I don't think it will work well. Maybe the could connect some folks...
Jump to postWhat are the chances that Ultimate Air Shuttle (UE) will reintroduce some service from CVG? There is a market for regional service to and from CVG. Comair (OH) proved that! Jump to postWe tried a separate CVG thread in 2017 and everyone just came back here. That said, I'm willing to try it again, as it does seem some topics are lost. Here was the old thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1358995

Jump to postAA at BNA is actually bigger than STL! They handle more passengers annually than many outstations in the network. There’s some underlying issues with AA at BNA. One of them is the ground handling. On the bright side, UA has multiple mainline flights to ORD! Wikipedia (not sure how accurate) shows A...

Jump to postI know they've been cut heavily, but what's the purpose of keeping a focus city there? Jump to postPretty good June loads for the Paris flight, seems like WOW had some effect, but not too bad:
CVG-CDG: 92.6%
CDG-CVG: 82.5%

So I guess DFW ops will eventually shift to AFW with the new regional hub? https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/business/Am ... 87152.html

Jump to postEffective Feb 14, one of the CVG-DFW MD80 frequencies will be switched over to an A319.
