Re: Attempted Cockpit Breach on DL386

If there is no breathalyzer test before taking the wheel of your car/truck, I don't see how there could be one to be a plane passenger.

Also, some people drink to calm their nerves, airlines wouldn't want to lose these customers.

I definitely think there should be a concerted "western" effort to counter China, and that has to start by being less dependant on it. Trump did it wrong, Biden might do it better, the problem is that now isn't the time : now it's COVID recovery time, and for that, cheap Chinese stuff is n...

Re: American Airlines invests in up to 350 eVTOLs

Are short range, 4 passengers, electric eVTOL technically feasible ? Definitely yes. Issues are : - at what price point ? If helicopters aren't that common, it's mainly because of cost (the other issue being the noise). - what noise ? All eVTOLs promise to be quieter than helicopters - what safety ?...

For Baku, didn't Bottas get a "big rear wing" or something that proved utterly slow and made it impossible for him to pass any car ? Sky commentators were wondering if it was his choice, or if the better wing Hamilton got was the only one available.

An UK airline just has to bribe the Tory party with a couple of thousands pounds and the law will disappear.

The article is misleading, airlines didn't have to pay anything. They just had to give the money back for flights they didn't operate. You would expect that in any industry !

Usually the Green politicians are also dead against nuclear, even though it's the most CO2 efficient way to make electricity, and could be used at large scale to make synthetic oil and/or hydrogen.

They're trying to ban nuclear from getting any of the stimulus money.

The first Boeing aircraft was made of wood, linen, cables, and was basically a copy of another plane.

You could say Boom are copying Concorde I guess, but doing so is a bit more challenging than a small seaplane flying at 65kn.

Also the Boeing Model 1 was actually a failure and didn't sell.
