I have had a few short flight like pleasure etc, but the shortest scheduled flight was from Aberdeen to Edinburgh on an Air UK Fokker F27.
Flight was about 20 minutes.

Hi all I love Fly! Since I got it weeks ago, I use it every night when I get home from work. Yes, FS98 is good, but Fly! is more realistic. The clouds are unreal. My advice is.........buy Fly! But you really need a 32bit graphics card for the clouds to show really good. I have some screenshots taken...

I did use 400ASA in the past but the results were terrible, shots too grainy.
Hope this helps.

Hi all I saw a pic in one of the papers yesterday of KLM's low cost carrier BUZZ. Cant remember it all but it has a stylized flower on the tail with Buzz titles below. Fuselage is yellow. I think variations will be in lime green and another colour. They will be operating BAe146's "pinched" from AirU...

Hi all
Maybe a daft question, but how do the pilots manage to taxi the massive jets bang on the runway markings??
I have always wondered how they perfect it..........................Jetpilot......your call!!

I think it looks absolutely stunning in the "Union Flag" colours.
I like the way it wraps over the tail piece.

Hi I had a look at your shot. The only reason I could think of it not being uploaded is that it is a little dark and a bit "to the right". Also look at the top of the shot. Try cropping the top edge out. Apart from that, it is a nice shot. Here's what to do: Scan again, crop till the a/c is in the c...
Jump to postHi Unreliable?.......Don't think so. They fly in and out of Aberdeen all the time with no problems. They are used quite extensivley throught the UK. I have flown on AirUK machines quite a bit and like them a lot. I really feel "secure" when flying in them. Regards Gary Watt Aberdeen, Scotland
Jump to postHi all I was watching a program on cable at the weekend, I think it was called Extreme Machines, and saw a wonderful aircraft called the Boomerang. Jump to postHi Yes, I was allowed to take photos on landing, take off and cruise. I was also allowed to use my camcorder! I was quite surprised at this. Jump to postHi I find it best to write to the airline a few weeks before your flight. Tell them a bit about yourself, your interest in aviation. Hi David
The pic of the one in the magazine is in full BA colours, and not like the one at GLA.
This is a preserved Trident, and i don't think it is used for fire training.

PS Are you on the SCANList?
Hi
Yes, it was a Trident you saw!!
It is currently used by BA as a cabin trainer (I think).

Hi all For all of you non-UK people, there is a tv program just started last Friday called Airline. It's all about easyJet, its operations etc. Very good program. It's the second in the series. Hi all Saw an article in one of the Sunday papers showing a pic of a Venga Airways 737-200. For you non-Europeans, Venga Boys is a Dutch singing group (not very good!). I believe their aircraft has been seen in Ibiza and Amsterdam. Anyone comment on this? Regards Gary Watt Aberdeen, Scotland
Jump to postHi
Thanks Cedarjet for the info.
No doubt we will see some shots soon of the aircraft, which I believe will also include 757's (?)

Hi All The merger of Caledonian and Flying Colours will take place soon, the outcome being a new airline called JMC. Adverts on UK television show a 737-400 (?) with a lime green tail and JMC titles. I wonder what the rest will look like. Any more info? Regards Gary Watt Aberdeen, Scotland

No, you are all wrong.
I have a pic of a proposed SAA livery which looks really good.
I wonder why they didn't use that one.

Hi
Well, for me, it's between the 727 and the A340. Both are really photogenic on landing.
The least photogenic to me is the BAe ATP.
I have tried and tried but cannot get a decent shot of it......and they are never out of Aberdeen.
