There are a few airlines in Africa that operate the 50 series. Also I think there is one in Brazil. The only 61 that I know for sure that is still operating is with ABSA. The YAF has quite a few static display aircraft near the hangar. Most likely those are the ones that they are talking about. The only flying aircraft scheduled to be out today was the B-17. I'm sure it had returned by the time the fire started. The question is had they put it away yet?

Except for the few executive aircraft and those operated by the French Air Force all of the DC-8s s operating are freighters.After having said that I think ATI is still operating a few DC-8-62 Combis.
