MCO, LAS and SEA should be next: https://www.dailysabah.com/business/2019/08/28/seattle-orlando-las-vegas-on-radar-for-turkish-airlines That article is from 2019. Highly doubt TK will go to MCO or LAS. DTW makes more sense. I’m aware it’s from 2019. Even with Covid, I doubt those plans have changed...Jump to post

Qatar Airways has now decided to increase Miami to daily from the first week of July. Miami now has nearly double the capacity to the Middle East region (including Istanbul) than pre-COVID, with 29 weekly frequencies, compared to 15 weekly in summer 2019. Doha: 7w QR (5w) Dubai: 4w EK (0w) Istanbul...Jump to post
Sorry to hear about your experience at MIA, not what any local or anyone rather, wants to hear. I always suggest making complaints to the company as it helps weed out the bad apples.
Nonetheless, thanks for sharing your trip report. Great read.
Hope you have a better experience next time.
Korean Air, on June 12, 2021, operated a nonstop flight from Seoul to Miami with a Boeing 777-300ER. The flight was 13,405km/8,300m for a total flight time of 14 hours and 42 minutes, making it their longest nonstop flight ever. The 77W was used to transport 25 tons of COVID-19 diagnostic kits to th...Jump to post
Starting in October 2021, the routes will be from Toronto to Miami, Quito, Lima, Mexico City, and Guadalajara.
I call foul! I live in Charlotte (CLT) and we STILL have only ONE airline connecting CLT and MIA. Look at all the cities who have 3 to 5 airlines connecting them with MIA, yet the fifth busiest airport east of the Mississippi River only has ONE? I travel the world regularly and I frequent Miami, bu...Jump to post
I wonder what American will do. NK’s going head to head with AA on some of these routes. Whatever happens this has been one MIA’s best years for new airlines. Definitely one of the best years for sure and during a pandemic. Wild. I expect Delta to follow through with their planned MIA expansion as ...Jump to post
One thing I think folks are failing to see is that Aer Lingus rejoined OneWorld. As a consequence, the AA Miami hub is now a connection point for Irish travelers to pretty much anywhere in the Caribbean or South America. I think this route has the chance to truly be successful if given enough time....Jump to post
My mind is blown at some of the capacity airlines have been throwing at Miami lately. Copa Airlines is now operating nine flights a day to Panama City! On top of the daily to Fort Lauderdale. Viva Colombia is flying as many as four flights to Medellin on some days! It's nuts. None of that existed p...Jump to post

Florida in general is recovering quite well. Jax center is running consistently 100-110% of our pre-COVID numbers. Not sure about Miami center, but I’d assume their pretty close to those numbers as well. Friends at Miami TRACON, Tower and Center, have all told me the demand at the moment is unexpec...Jump to post
Air Transat is returning to Miami after a two decade absence. Service starts December 14th, 3x a week to Montreal. Increase to 4x a week February 19th. A321. Qatar Airways is boosting Miami as well. Currently operating twice a week and was supposed to increase to 3x a week in July. Now it is increa...Jump to post

Is this even real?? One mile at a time says its a rumor https://onemileatatime.com/emirates-miami/ Cant buy any tickets Yes. Just wait. To be fair, you've said the same about a lot of MIA/Asia flights and we're still waiting, even pre-COVID. No? I never said anything about Asia flights being offici...Jump to post
Someone will call it quits eventually, and my money is on EK pulling out first. Good luck and be prepared to lose money because they have plans for the long run. Don't have to believe me, just wait and see. How well did their long run plan of operating 100 A380s work out? Not great. :duck: You can ...Jump to post

Wonder of the B6 additions, help blunt DL's aspirations in MIA? The LATAM partnership is there, but all the adds may trigger a pullback in DL's ambitions as yields for them may end up being diluted. I am not counting DL out. It's a much smarter c-suite and a better run airline on a number of fronts...Jump to post
