RE: Rejection - Multiple Reasons

Okay I accept the point on the winglet. I am not convinced about the oversharpening. I am not going to appeal this one but what do you think is causing the "soft"? This was shot at 1/1000 at ISO 100 & highest res jpeg - not RAW. I am still not comfortable with RAW......

Rejection - Multiple Reasons

This was rejected for: Reject reason: high in frame oversharpened centered personal This was my first ever upload. This was just basic editing in Picasa - No Photoshop. I can hardly tell the difference when I sharpen an image in Picasa. I was actually concerned about this being a little low in the f...

RE: PHX787 Review Number 2

On your camera question, I am a newbie too. and I currently use a Canon Rebel T3i. That or the T4i should be a good starter camera. I am not familiar w/ Nikons, having never used one. I have been dabbling with Picasa for editing but its very limited. Sooner or later I will have to look at better edi...

RE: Spots On The Lens?

I always held the camera facing up while changing out lenses and recall doing this atleast 2-3 times out doors. I am not sure if that is adding to the dust on the sensor. Like NZ107 said....It might help a little.

Spots On The Lens?

There is a spot just under the nose of this aircraft which I have been noticing on my other photographs too. Its in the same spot and I am not sure whether its on the lens or the filter. Some of the pictures I am able to crop it out, but in this case, its too close to the plane. I have compressed th...

RE: Advice For A Beginner Photographer

Khalid,
I am very new myself and have not even been spotting for 6 months. I am yet to post a photo but I use a Canon Rebel T3i and have a 55-250 f4.5/5.6 lens that I use. I think CaptainKramer has summed it up pretty well.

Plane Spotting Groups In Chicago

Folks, I am very new to spotting and wanted to know what the best locations to spot at Chicago O'Hare are. I live in Schaumburg. From my basic research I found that the USG building at Lawrence and Mannheim is a very popular spot as is the Rosemont Metra station parking lot off of Balmoral. I tried ...
