RE: Body Scan Machines At Airports

Read about this "x-ray" machine in a Swedish science
magazine and of course it should be used, privacy or not, security is the no 1 priority....

RE: Airbus May Suffer?

Everyone suffer when the market goes down, as I already stated in the A380 project many sub contractors are investing money and so its not only airbus that finance a new airplane...

RE: El Al Voted The Most Safest Airline To Fly With!

Well, I don´t think an Israeli paper (Haaretz?) would smuggle a real bomb onboard an El Al plane, anyway El Al stopped flying to Stockholm because they weren´t allowed to have their own armed guards, but they resumed a couple of years later, they solved it like they had to sign out a gun and then pa...

RE: Banning Knives, Razors Is Wrong!

Of course you should ban knives, razors and golfclubs
or haven´t we learnt anything from the last weeks horror? Even small, blunt (you can always go to the bathroom and sharpen it) knives can be deadly, if you
attack someones throat.

RE: A380 The End?

Well, 48 ordered A380 so far and Lufthansa haven´t bought any yet (they´re talking about 15 planes?).
Remember the A380 will also be used as a cargo plane
and it will be designed to meet noise regulations, which
will lead to a few old birds being banned from many airports.

RE: El Al Voted The Most Safest Airline To Fly With!

Been on El Al a few times, you can check in your luggage in TA the day before. They sure have armed guards on their flights, but perfect security? No they´re not perfect, an big Israeli newspaper claim that they are sloppy with hebrew speaking Israeli citizen, the paper managed to smuggle onboard fa...

RE: A380 The End?

No not the end, the beginning. The A380 is a pan-european project, Sweden with Volvo aerospace and SAAB are putting money into this project among others. The plane that will suffer most is the Concorde, high fuel prizes and old airplanes in the end of their life span, less demand for airtravel. Well...

RE: Future Prevention

Dear GDB!
I agree with you, price of domestic airtravel around the
globe
will go up, big investment that will improve the safety
at airports will take place. Perhaps connecting flights from small airports with lack of controll of facilities will force passengers to check in again.

RE: White House And AF-1 Targets!

The White House is a "no fly" zone (remember the confused guy in a small plane that got shot down while
trying to hit the White House?), same goes for the presidents house in Texas. Don´t know if Pentagon is
a "no fly" zone, but of course some that aren´t afraid
to die is hard to stop....

RE: Air Marshalls/Sherrifs?

Dear all! I´m afraid there´s no quick "fix" to this problem, my suggestion is that any individual that enter the plane, airplane personell, cleaners, mecanics and passengers shall pass trough a gate that "xray" them, this technology exist already but have not been put to use because of privacy restr...
