my suspicion is that the limited number of 77L frames (5x for AI) doesn't permit the carrier to add a domestic leg to the route. In April I then did HKG-AUH-MAN. And the first leg was on an Air Seychelles A332 which was absolute crap and then the leg back to MAN was on an A346 which had the 'old' business class seat, which again was poor. I believe the A346 is leaving service (last scheduled service out of BOM) after October...
