Re: Iran wants to help build the Sukhoi SSJ100

It seems the SSJ is a plan B if the Boeing and/or Airbus orders don't work out, perhaps due to a political change. But indeed then the European and US parts in it might also be a problem. That's the main reason Cubana and Air Koryo fly An-148/158s and can't order the Sukhoi. I can't imagine they tak...

Re: Bombardier cuts Q400 production costs

I wonder if it makes sense. Given the small orderbook they are lucky to even have the aircraft still in production by 2022. They should have thought of it earlier before losing 75% of the market to ATR. Let's say they still get orders to build 20 a year between 2022 until production stops in 2028 it...

I guess we have to get used to it. What I hate is that URL links to relevant pictures on Airliners.net I gathered on excel sheets don't work anymore, for example clicking http://www.airliners.net/open.file/2340661/M/ used to show a certain CX 777 for instance but now gives an error message. RE: Boeing 747-200SUD Expensive Conversion?

If it was worth it? The fact that few airlines bothered speaks for itself. A factor for KLM might have been that they might have presumed in the early 1980s that the -300 would be the ultimate 747 with many built for a long time to comeand this was a way to upgrade their whole fleet of about 13 airc...

Good news. Last month I read somewhere in a comment here that it was delayed 'indefinitely' so I was fearing they cancelled the whole program perhaps because the thing can't be made actually airworthy.

I think this problem was discussed before. It seems a proper Cubana Tu-204 has the same callsign or responder or so that it SEEMS to be an Air Koryo Tu-204 but it isn't. Perhaps the airframe was allocated to Air Koryo and then switched to Cubana. The real P-632 should still be in or around North Kor...

A pretty limited combined network, indeed doesn't seem much use. Basically it are the LCC's which are connected to Star Alliance legacy airlines. The big boys in Asia/Pacific are Air Asia, Lion Air, Jetstar and some smaller ones like Vietjet are noticably missing.
