In aerospace the costs are so high that everything is based on something previous. The S-92 is a very great leap in size from the Blackhawk so you can't assume it will be reliable just because the UH-60 was.

I thought the main runway at Zhukovski (if that's how it is spelled), near Moscow, was more than 5 km. That would make it longer than Istres. But I could be wrong...

Hi,

My fan tip radius is 0.65 metres (fan tip diameter of 1.3 metres).
What will be the main limiting factor in this case? Mechanical resistance?
