I would like to but I am not exactly in a position of power to do that... and since in Portugal changes to the Constitution can not be approved by referendum (only by a 2/3 majority in Parliament) there is little chance of that happening. UK had a few problems a while ago, I think they even grounded their fleet. If it was exactly the same problem or not I don't know. Portugal has only received 5 from its 12 helicopter order, they aren't even operational yet (only used for training) so I doubt we are having the same problems just yet....

I don't know if it is true but I once heard a story about someone in Lisbon trying to pass a "leitão" (basically an entire roasted piglet) as hand-luggage. The guy who was handling the X-Ray machine just saw a skeleton in his screen and stopped them right there.

I don't really know how it is in the UK but in Portugal fuel taxes haven't really increased, percentage-wise. It is ridiculous to fault the government of high fuel prices because if they cut fuel taxes they have to increase it somewhere else...
