Re: Grow the US Navy

Interesting. Is there some thing you would change ... move assets or money or personnel or emphasis from some area to another? Do you believe for instance that the navy has the anti-air vs anti-submarine balance right, or would you emphasize one more than the other as compared to what is done now? ...

Re: Grow the US Navy

The Navy doesn't need more hardware than it needs the personnel footprint to man what it has already. It also needs to figure out how to leverage its reserve force like the rest of the DOD figured out how to do in the 1990s, rather than use it for budgetary sleight of hand and Joint manning require...

Re: New defence pact AUUKUS

I just read an opinion piece in a British magazine (Warship IFR) about why the French weren't invited to join the AUUKUS defense pact and it makes perfect sense. For the last several years, Macron (DeGaulle Jr.) has been agitating for an EU military force with France in charge, in competition with N...

I find it ironic that Mitch McConnell is inviting Manchin to join the Republican Party. First, he won't because he's much more visible and powerful right where he is. Or, like the Texas law, hold those who aid and abet murder accountable. Smith & Wesson, private sellers, or even legitimate gun owners who claim they didn't know it was a third party sale. And, as with guns, abortion is settled law. It was settled in 1973. I don't know why righties are trying t...
