I long ago gave up on banks and use a credit union, accounts and credit cards. Two CUs in fact. When I was in the country it was 5-6 miles away. Now in the city, 3 blocks. I can access (and pay) on line, by phone, or in person.

The US did not so much reject AZ, as come to the conclusion that they would not need it. We do need to approve it as a matter of global politics. I also observe that it is a really good vaccine, not better nor as good though as the three the US has approved.

No president will ever discuss, comment, opine on this subject. Even Trump, IIRC, offered no tweets. Unfortunately our best strategy is an industrial policy which offsets much of our utter dependence on Taiwan and the PRC. Republicans may reluctantly go along. But some profess love for Xi.

The US and EU are not going to fall into the 20th century trap of treating Russia and China (admittedly both allies briefly during WWII) as the enemy. The do present challenges, they are formidable trade partners, they are being militarily aggressive, but war must be avoided.

There is no excuse for corrupt HOAs. That said, maintaining high rise buildings is expensive (guess how I know? LOL). It is premature to assign blame or cause for the collapse (although I see attorneys are already at it). It sounds like the city and the federal government will step up.
