They're looking at the 767-300ER, A300-200 and A340. They've been in talks with Air Canada with a view to acquiring some of its excess aircraft (763s?)

The 777-200LR would seem to be perfect for BA. They lept on the 777-200ER when Boeing launched it. The 777-200LR would have commonality (although, granted, the GE engines aren't used on BA's newer 777s. But they do have 2 batches of 777s with GEs). Oh, just buy "The International Directory of Civil Aircraft 2001/2002" by Airlife. It's not that expensive and really useful.
