Been watching planes since the late 1970s. I try to get to the airport as early as possible (many hours) so I can plane watch / photograph. With no "significant other" to appease I do as I please aviation-wise. I find a decent window with a view of the aviation action and try to enjoy it. ...

Jump to postProbably going to take time to get used to...like any change. Personally I prefer the old site...but that's what it was...an old site...but with the classic look so many of us liked.
I will get used to this new one I hope.

Jump to postJust curious how many of these conversions have been done so far. Is there a reliable online source for a snapshot (or detailed info) of the specific airframes that have been converted? I've been an enthusiast for a long time (since late 70s) but I haven't been keeping running tabs on this subject.

Jump to postAll - I know it seems like an inordinate amount of time since Mickey passed away...and it has been. However, all that aside, I'm providing the details of his service so that anybody who might be in southern California on Monday Jan 29th might have the opportunity to attend. Our friend Mickey is bein...
Jump to postAll - as tough as it's been on so many people this past week, it has been my distinct pleasure and honor to be able to post some photos of Mickey for you all to see. I'm receiving more via email from his closest friends and I hope to have them posted in the next couple of days. As I said in some of ...

Jump to postThanks everybody. Yes, we're talking about two different guys. Mickey Bednar sometimes went by the name Mike, and he lived in Southern California (though he was born in Pennsylvania.) I suppose he picked up railroad photography from tagging along with me on our airplane photo trips early in the 2000...
