Rampers don't care. They are paid so little that there is no passion. The rush, rush, rush "let's go" of the business doesn't allow time. I worked ramp for a while, and sadly none of the rules were abides by. Not even simple ones like the bags with the star alliance special tag goes on conveyor belt.

That is correct. Because its the lowest fare via travel agent, you are "punished" by not being able to select your seat until you check in. Hope you don't mind a middle seat.

Looking at fares up to Vermont from Dallas. Its running roughly $500 r/t on US Airways and United. Spikes up after that. Went on priceline and clicked on the "name your own price" and put in $300. It came back with $355...nice deal.. let's go lower... put in $100.. came back $150...let's go even low...
