DL's N878DN, a 737-900/ER was delivered a few months ago and is not trackable on FR24 or Flightaware. Is the aircraft testing some new system or is stored ?

I flew over it a few days ago and doesn't look ready at all; perhaps the main terminal looks ready but runways and taxiways are not from what I could see.

LH currently fly the 380 to LAX and have no plans to stop. The current route to FRA for the 380 will switch to MUC in the spring. QR and EY can barely fill their planes now to LAX so I don't you'll ever see their 380s at LAX. I don't see NH bringing their 380s to LAX since they will be in a high den...

Most other carriers that operate the 744F have plans to replace them. I guess CI can wait until Boeing decides to close the 747 line and then order some more to keep it going......

China Airlines (CI) has about 18 747-400F in service but no order to replace them. Why haven't they placed and order yet ? Are they waiting for a better deal on 748F or 77F will be better for them ?

When AI started ARN recently they did not have much time from announcement until launch, less than 2 months I think. So they seem to start service with short notice. But still a bit strange that they haven't announced LAX yet.

The flight operates RUH-JED-LAX-RUH.

Yes, it operates on Wed and Sun which are days the the JED flight does not operate. It also operates for a few weeks starting in mid-December.

The inaugural 777 flight on 6 June 1995 was LHR-IAD.

I remember that UA had restrictions capacity wise on ORD-LHR for a few years. They could not fly anything bigger than a 763.
