What is socialistic about citizens buying enough stock to affect the strategy of a company. The consortium would would make its voting decisions based on the three goals I mentioned. How does a mechanic test a bolt on one of those plugs. Does it require removal and reinstallation, or can it be tested in place?

The 'masses' do not go on long trips for the most part. Even the current Leafs have enough range for them. Although Consumer Reports likes a lot of the hybrids, several of them have about a 45 mile all electric range. Ease of charging is being improved almost weekly.

Actually I addressed the torque problem. Those outboard engines can use 6 gallons a hour and more. Pushing a 16-30 foot boat through the water requires a lot of torque. I was surprised that those car engines did so well as boat engines

For a larger car take a test drive of the Lyriq, it is very obviously a big step larger than the Mach E. I would not recommend buying one until GM gets its production and software in a row. Once they do it could be a compelling option.
