RE: Rolls-Royce To Surprise Us On 787?

I think that both GE and RR are smart and are playing to there strengths here . i believe that the 787HGW varients would be comming out in the middle of the next decade and <acronym tit...

I think boeing would Launch a 737RS program sometime in 2009-2010 timeframe with rollout in 2013-2014 and EIS the following year .

Also Now that the dreamliner has gon into the paintshop , when is due to come out ?

I think boeing will only add just enough improvments to the T7 for it to sell its production runs till perhaps 2015-2017 , that would mean that they would need to add up on backlog till about 2010-2012 which isnt tha...

Hmmmm .. 2 weeks isnt much of a delay and shouldnt really effect EIS in a great way unless there is a bigger underlying problem that boeing hasnt made public yet. No need to worry for customers yet , no 6 month delay or a possibility of 2008 first flight as some members (er) were suggesting.

Ordering in 2009 could possibly mean deliveries post 2015-2016 , that is pushing a bit IMHO . I think AA would want deliveries by 2012-2013 to begin with and in all ernest by 2013-2014 so for that they have to order now , maybe before year end .
