Re: XL Airways France stops selling tickets

I vividly remember walking past an XL A330 and being mesmerized by the livery & the colour of those engines. It was late in the evening and the sun was all but down but to this day I still remember those huge, deep blue "XL.com" titles and the beautiful tail design in that perfect twi...

Re: Plan B: LHR-DUB-PHL on Aer Lingus | Pics + link to video

Nice report! Did someone jump the gun on the flaps? ATC probably assigned a speed below "minimum clean" speed (minimum speed with no flaps) for sequencing, so the crew needed to deploy flaps to comply. For a 757 at standard weight, flaps would need to deployed below ~210 knots. This can ha...

Updated: XL Airways in judicial liquidation

It looks like the end is near for XL Airways France, a staple of French long-haul leisure travel since the mid-90s. This comes only two weeks after its short/medium-haul counterpart Aigle Azur went bust. Due to its financial difficulties, we are deeply sorry to have to announce that XL Airways is st...

Great report. Thanks! I agree with you, maybe it's just my imagination but I was very cramped in Delta's A321. Oddly enough, I have actually found their 739's to me much more comfortable. Incredible. I've come to love the 757 after intially hating it. Gotta say, though, the A220 is pretty good looking. Agreed! I would say the 757 and A220 cabins are among the higher tier of DL's short haul products. That 757 cabin does look amazing, I must admit. Those seats look comfy too... I was ...
