How cool would it have been if they left the 990 in the middle of the subdivision? It would've awesome for them to turn it into a restaurant in that neighborhood ala 'BJ Strawberries At The Convair' that once existed at Erie Air Park north of Denver. I ate in that restaurant several times as a Juni...

It's not too difficult, but a 1/144 airliner might be a bit ambitious......, it might be necessary to print 2 sheets and layer the decals. Interesting, I never thought of layering the decals. I dont believe a 1/144 airliner is ambitious. I have done several. Wish I could post pictures, don't know h...

Re: Antonov AN-12 out IAH today

Definitely strange times with Soviet-era turboprops flying around America. I remember this one time in the 90s (NOT band camp) I was out at Stapleton (DEN) and three Russian aircraft were cruising overhead at high altitude. I think it was 2x TU-95 and an IL-76. Most likely during one of their visits...

Re: When where and why did you last fly pre Covid?

It was the weekend of March 14/15 2020 on a spur-of-the moment roundtrip PHX-MSP-PHX. The MSP-PHX segment was my 757th logged flight and I specifically booked it to fly a 757 on that leg. I'd done so previously with the 747 and 737 but honestly didn't even think about it for the 717. The 707, 720, a...

Weren’t all B707’s built at Renton which has a very small 5,400ft runway? Okay, they were empty aircraft but the first flights of the early turbojet B707’s must have been interesting to watch. I imagine they were fun to watch take off out of there! All 707, 720, & C-135 variants. Not to mention...
