Top page photos are resized dynamically if you change window size. This means top photo which is originally 1024px wide can be anything from 457px to 1243px wide, and quality lack generated by such manipulation is quite obvious.

Given how obnoxious everyone has described the ads as-- I never saw them as I've had an adblocker on the whole time-- they're more likely assuming that every savvy regular user is just going to use an adblocker one way or another.... those ads aren't for making money off regular users, but visitors...
