I still refuse to wear jeans on a plane. It is just the way I was brought up. There is nothing more maddening then seeing some slob show up in cut offs and a tank top in a public venue....who's to blame...the 1960's sub-culture baby boomers who told the world that "anything goes" and screw the rest.

I could never understand it. Back in the 80's I used to work the New York Air shuttles and as soon as I made that P.A. there was always a rush. Our flights were less then 45 min on the norm, but it never failed!
