RE: Airbus Plans A300/310 Replacement

I think Boeing will make a better long range product, but Airbus will make a better short range product. We have seen this already, the B757/767 are much better for long range routes, however, the 310/300 are more suited for short range high density routes.

RE: Boeing Revolutionary High-speed Airliner In Doubt

It is no surprise to me that the Sonic Cruiser is not going ahead. I think the problem with it is that it is not fast enough. I think airlines would probably charge you more to fly on it, but on a flight to NY from London, for example, it will save only one hour. I think what is needed is an aircraf...

Will The A380 Fail?

I think it will. I think this based on the following basis: Europe-North America routes do not need such as huge capacity as airlines are happy with operating 330/340/767/777/744 aircraft at a higher frequency(which is better for business). The following services also cannot sustain such a huge capa...

It think British Airways short focus their long haul fleet on the 777-200 and 747-400 only (as they are doing) , and B737-700/800/900 for short haul. (I do not like Airbus aircraft.

I think Garuda should replace it's 330-300s with 777-200s

LHR, FRA and CDG will be the main hubs because BA, LH and AF are are substantial businesses and thus can maintain a decent hub. Sao Paulo (GRU). I hate this airport. It is extremely dated and not very clean. Also I found the staff were slow.

Some Airlines, like Garuda sometimes use the 742 on their European routes (that go CGK-FRA-LGW) although the route does originate outside of Europe.

Aeroflot use 777s on inter European routes, that is a pretty large aircraft.
